Taking place at Penventon Park Hotel, The Innovation Exchange is a lunchtime event (11am – 2 pm) where Cornish businesses can meet to engage, gather knowledge and connect with other businesses in Cornwall.

Jake Shaw-Sutton from Robotrix

Robotriks Ltd is a Cornwall-based robotics R&D company pioneering affordable, autonomous platforms for real-world use. Founded in 2018 in Par, the company is driven by its mission to break down the financial and technical barriers that have long limited automation in agriculture and other essential industries.
Guiding the vision of the company is Director Jake Shaw-Sutton, whose practical and forward-thinking approach has helped shape Robotriks into a leader in accessible robotics. His commitment to simplicity, sustainability, and genuine end-user value underpins the company’s ethos and continues to steer its development.
Whether supporting day-to-day farm operations or enabling new research possibilities, Robotriks focuses on delivering solutions that are flexible, environmentally responsible, and designed for the people who rely on them. With innovation rooted in real-world needs, the company is helping build a more efficient and sustainable future for modern agriculture.

Becky Willson – Farm Carbon Toolkit

Becky is the Business Development and Technical Director at FCT. She has over a decade of experience in climate change mitigation in agriculture, specifically focused on developing projects and resources that inspire engagement. She undertook a Nuffield Scholarship looking at how to communicate carbon reduction schemes to farmers. Becky leads the advisory team at FCT working with farmers, growers, supply chains, landowners and other businesses to help understand how measuring and managing carbon can help futureproof business.
She will be talking about the importance of baselining to futureproof your business and sharing experiences from a range of projects taking place across the south west.

STRIDE is a high impact, bespoke intensive innovation programme designed to support innovative businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The programme focuses on businesses who have the potential to commercially exploit new ideas and technology to scale and grow their business.

Designed to accelerate innovation and economic growth, STRIDE delivers bespoke high value, intensive interventions to businesses through a series of interlinked reinforcing activities which deliver true innovation with measurable business improvements that link to new funding opportunities.

Building on the success of the University of Plymouth flagship business innovation project in Cornwall, Acceleration Through Innovation (ATI), STRIDE focuses on those sectors detailed within the Good Growth Investment Plan – clean energy resources, geo-resources, data and space, visitor economy and agri-food. The project will also support businesses outside of these sectors where there are clear opportunities for research and innovation to drive growth and productivity.
