Design Thinking Masterclass

Loading Events
This masterclass will enable you to embrace and explore creative ideas.

Taking place at the Pool Innovation Centre this Design Thinking Masterclass is a tailored workshop delivered by STRIDE on behalf of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Growth Hub.

By putting the customer firmly at the heart of the process and seeing a problem through their eyes, we will begin to view problems as new opportunities.

Whether creating new customer experiences, considering what is your business’s ‘perfect client’, designing new products, or developing ideas, this evidence-based approach elevates uncertainty and risk.

In this session, we will explore how to move quickly from idea to action using prototyping, experimentation, and iteration. Design Thinking encourages visualization from multiple perspectives, redefines parameters, challenges assumptions and inspires creativity

A complimentary lunch is provided.

Delivered by the University of Plymouth – STRIDE, on behalf of the Good Growth Fund.

STRIDE is a high impact, bespoke intensive innovation programme designed to support innovative businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The programme focuses on businesses who have the potential to commercially exploit new ideas and technology to scale and grow their business.

Designed to accelerate innovation and economic growth, STRIDE delivers bespoke high value, intensive interventions to businesses through a series of interlinked reinforcing activities which deliver true innovation with measurable business improvements that link to new funding opportunities.

Building on the success of the University of Plymouth flagship business innovation project in Cornwall, Acceleration Through Innovation (ATI), STRIDE focuses on those sectors detailed within the Good Growth Investment Plan – clean energy resources, geo-resources, data and space, visitor economy and agri-food. The project will also support businesses outside of these sectors where there are clear opportunities for research and innovation to drive growth and productivity.
