Network, connect and be inspired with guest speakers to discuss the Cornish food, drink and hospitality sector.

Taking place at The Atlantic Hotel, The Innovation Exchange is a lunchtime event (11am – 2 pm) where Cornish businesses can meet to engage, gather knowledge and connect with other businesses in Cornwall.

Lucy Jones: The Cornish Food Box

The Cornish Food Box has been on a mission to get the very best Cornish food and drink on the plates of the nation since 2010. They do this by making it easy for you to order fantastic food from Cornish farmers, fishers, growers and producers, and deliver it to your door across the UK. You choose what you want to order – they pack it carefully and deliver it to your door.

Hear from Lucy as she discusses her business growth journey and her challenges along the way. Lucy will be providing insight and inspiration into the Cornish food and drink industry.

Mark Worden: Visit Cornwall

Mark will be speaking about the vital role tourism plays in Cornwall’s economy, from job creation to supporting local communities and businesses. He’ll also explore how Visit Cornwall helps shape the future of the visitor economy, working with partners across the county to ensure that tourism remains sustainable, resilient, and beneficial for all.

Visit Cornwall is the official tourist board for Cornwall, working to promote the region as a year-round destination while supporting the growth of a sustainable visitor economy. Through strategic marketing, research, and collaboration with local businesses, Visit Cornwall helps to enhance Cornwall’s reputation, attract investment, and drive positive change within the tourism sector.

If your business is in the food, drink and hospitality sector, join us to hear from two industry leading organisations. There will be an opporutnity to ask questions, meet like-minded businesses and pitch your services.

Delivered by the University of Plymouth – STRIDE, on behalf of the Good Growth Fund.

STRIDE is a high impact, bespoke intensive innovation programme designed to support innovative businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The programme focuses on businesses who have the potential to commercially exploit new ideas and technology to scale and grow their business.

Designed to accelerate innovation and economic growth, STRIDE delivers bespoke high value, intensive interventions to businesses through a series of interlinked reinforcing activities which deliver true innovation with measurable business improvements that link to new funding opportunities.

Building on the success of the University of Plymouth flagship business innovation project in Cornwall, Acceleration Through Innovation (ATI), STRIDE focuses on those sectors detailed within the Good Growth Investment Plan – clean energy resources, geo-resources, data and space, visitor economy and agri-food. The project will also support businesses outside of these sectors where there are clear opportunities for research and innovation to drive growth and productivity.
