The University of Plymouth’s Research and Innovation Team, Enterprise Solutions, have announced a new R&D Solutions Fund grant aimed at building new research and development opportunities, with a particular emphasis on international collaboration.
Businesses from any sector or geographic location can apply for up to £20,000 to solve business problems by encouraging strong academic and international collaboration.
The fund responds to the need to develop new products and services for existing and emerging markets, both nationally and internationally, where the research intensity of the University can help accelerate the innovation process.
The R&D Solutions Fund looks to support joint research and development projects between the University of Plymouth and business and provides access to the University’s specialist technical support and world-renowned facilities and equipment.
Other areas of support can include feasibility studies, taking research to an implementation stage and the provision of academic or a business partner’s time. The fund seeks to identify and progress commercially viable or early-stage business innovation projects.
The current call (call 5) for business proposals is now open and will close at 5 pm on 1st February 2023. Another round (call 6) will open on the 20th of March 2023 and close at 5 pm on the 24th of April 2023.
