Mayor of Truro opens Truro Pop-up Innovation Centre for Cornish Businesses

1 February 2022

A fully-funded business facility has opened in the centre of Truro to provide a dedicated space for business innovation support.

Located on the lower ground floor of Falcon House, the Pop-up Innovation Centre, delivered by the Acceleration Through Innovation 2 (ATI2) programme, offers companies the chance to utilise office facilities, meeting and events rooms, hot desks and access business support with innovation accredited advisors.

Mayor of Truro, Steven Webb, officially opened the centre and welcomed the programme into the city at the launch event on the 27th January.

The centre forms part of the business outreach services offered by ATI2, which is led by the University of Plymouth and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Cornwall Council.

Within generously sized premises, the Pop-Up Innovation Centre features new technology and interactive equipment from the University of Plymouth, which is on display for businesses to use and explore.

Businesses are able to make an appointment to speak to ATI2’s Business Innovation Advisors, who are certified Innovation Practitioners and accredited by the world-renowned Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (IKE).

The centre is accessible to individuals from small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who need facilities to support their business and is open until Friday 29th April 2022.
