ScaffFloat Set to Launch at Europe’s Leading Commercial Marine & Workboat Exhibition

5 March 2020

After the success of WorkFloat®, a folding work platform that won the Spirit of Innovation Award at last year’s SeaWork exhibition, our clients at Tow Float Work Ltd have decided to book a massive 250m2 berth for this year’s show.

As well as exhibiting their original innovation, WorkFloat, they have also chosen the Seaworks 2020 show to officially launch their new modular pontoon called ScaffFloat®.

ScaffFloat® is designed for industrial commercial use and incorporates equipment already in used by industry, such as scaffolding. The beauty of this innovation is that ScaffFloat® offers a safer way of working from the water. Its modular pontoon system has been developed specifically to create a floating base that is far superior to current solutions and is easy to transport.

Acceleration Through Innovation (ATI) has supported the development of their latest product by providing specialist structural engineering consultancy, to check their initial design was viable to build.

Business Innovation Advisor, Chris Hassal, also provided support to assess the market and explore the different routes to market, particularly focusing on the business model and pricing structure whereby both the rental and outright purchase were considerations.

In addition, Tow Float Work Ltd were also awarded an innovation grant of £19,000 towards the prototyping and intellectual property protection of ScaffFloat®.
